In partnership with Mashareq Investment, Hilton plans to bring its second Conrad Hotels & Resorts property to Saudi Arabia. The 170-key Conrad Riyadh Laysen Valley is expected to open in 2025 opposite the city’s diplomatic quarter at the heart of the Laysen Valley development, one of Riyadh’s most prominent high-end, mixed-use real estate projects.
Furthermore, Hilton has signed two hotels under the flagship Hilton Hotels and Resorts brand. It is a lifestyle Canopy by Hilton brand in the city of Abha. The brand signs the Abha Terraces Project.
As per the news, both properties are funded by a real estate development fund company. The fund is made available by the Unit Holders from SEDCO, Tourism Development Fund, and managed by the Saudi Francis Capital.
An official announcement follows the signing of Hilton’s memorandum of understanding with the Saudi Tourism Development Fund. The government focuses on leisure accommodation to create attractive tourism destinations in Saudi Arabia.
Saudi Arabia and several other Gulf countries currently depending on fuel exports have understood that tourism is the economy’s future.
A large portion of the country’s economic development would rely on tourism. Thus, they are investing heavily in developing an experience for the tourist so the economy can survive when renewable energy sources become the primary fuel.
Hilton’s Point residences and Canopy will have modern amenities. It will have a capacity to accommodate more than 250 guests. Hotels will have luxurious interiors, unique suites, places, and more.
On the other hand, Canopy by Hilton Porta Jeddah will have around 183 guest rooms and more than 55 residences, including world-class F&B outlets with specialty restaurants and rooftop concepts.
The hotel will have a fitness center open for guests: an outdoor swimming pool, and 300 square meters of meeting space. Hilton is focusing on developing luxurious amenities to promote tourism in the country.
