Saudi Arabia is developing a tourist ecosystem to boost the number of foreign travelers. The Saudi Arabian government recently introduced the most extensive bus transportation project connecting 200 major cities. The vastness of the project can be determined by the shared amount of expedition it will cause to develop infrastructure. As per some estimations, Saudi Arabia would add SAR 3.2 bn to its gross domestic product.
The new bus transportation services will accommodate approximately six million passengers annually. The number is expected to grow as more travelers benefit from the services.
Saleh bin Nasser Al Jasser, the Miniter of Transport and Logistic Services, has launched the bus service project from Riyadh.
The project is planned to operate in three international alliances. The place will be developed with state-of-the-art architecture and a fleet of modern buses consisting of amenities. The buses will introduce new technology to offer the traveler more comfort during the long journey. These buses will run on the 76 routes in the designated cities and provinces.
If we talk about the contribution to the job market, it is estimated that the new bus transportation project will create direct and indirect jobs in the sectors. New 35000 jobs will be created in various sectors, making it possible for all types of passengers to enjoy the bus rides.
The project will be completed with the help of the private and international partnership. It is a one-of-a-kind investment project to boost foreign investment in Saudi Arabia.
Saudi Arabia also offers visitor visas to travelers, adding more countries such as Turkiye, Panama, Thailand, Saint Kitts, and Nevis. Leisure, business, and religious-purpose visas are also available for travelers from Saudi Arabia.
Saudi Arabia is building an ecosystem for tourists to visit the various regions of Saudi Arabia through domestic transportation facilities. As the new projects are rolling in, more job opportunities will be open for the locals and workers from Asian countries.
Comfortable bus transportation facilities will drive domestic travelers to other regions for job opportunities. Also, exchanging value and goods will be more convenient as more workers will move back and forth in the different zones and contribute to the less developed cities. Passengers would have a comfortable travel experience in the long-distance journey.
The spoke person also told the news reporter that the buses were not the ordinary ones you see on the roads. The facilities are developed with the modern buses that will be introduced on the routes.
It is essential that the passengers feel safe, and most importantly, long-distance travel should not affect their health. Thus, the government ensures that the busses built for the journey include complete Air conditioning and many other advanced facilities.
Saudi Arabia’s government has been shifting its traditional economy, which relies on oil production, to tourism. They are inspired by the success of Dubai and the Middle East and need to be churning good money from foreign tourists. Saudi Arabia is moving on the same path by creating modern travel accommodations. More tourism means less dependency on the oil production.
As we already know, oil companies are on the verge of breaking down because the new era of electric cars and other transportation systems is improving daily. Countries are working on developing a sustainable ecosystem where renewable energy will be the top resource to produce the required energy needed to run the city.
Lesser demand will take away the oil-producing countries’ importance and may be pushed back to history if they do not take action now.
The location of Saudi Arabia gives it an added advantage because it is in the middle of the Western and Asian countries, offering an instant gateway. Saudi Arabia could become the next best tourist spot in the world. Many ambitious projects are lined up to change the landscape of the country. The majority of the land in Saudi Arabia is covered in the desert. It will be a challenging task to protect the land in the developed region without having the natural resources.
We will see more such plan will be announced, adding more benefits to the country’s development and driving more foreign investment in various sectors.
